I started this company 15 years ago, and honestly… I didn’t start with much. I had only been in America for about a year. I didn’t speak English, and I barely had enough money to get going. But I still went for it because I’ve always had the mindset of working for myself and building something better.

Before coming to the U.S., my family and I had to leave Iraq because of the war. I had to protect my family and find a safe place where they could grow and have a future. That experience changes you. It makes you appreciate hard work, responsibility, and doing things the right way.

When I got to America, I wanted to chase my American dream — not just for me, but for my family. That’s why I started A1 Hood Cleaning.

A lot of people don’t think about their hood system until there’s a problem. But hood cleaning is serious. It’s about fire safety, clean air, and keeping a kitchen running the way it should. Restaurants work hard, and the last thing they need is someone cutting corners on something this important.
